14 Bible Verses about Deafness

And behold, you shall be dumb and not able to speak, till the day in which these things shall take place, because you did not believe my words, which shall be fulfilled in their proper time.

And they brought to him a deaf man, who spoke with difficulty; and they besought him to lay his hand upon him. And immediately his ears were opened, and the band of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. And he charged them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more earnestly they published it. And they were amazed beyond measure, and said: He Las done all things well: he makes the deaf hear and the dumb speak.

When those who were about him saw what would be done, they said to him: Lord, shall we strike with the sword? And a certain one of them struck the servant of the chief priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said: Let this matter proceed thus far. And he touched his ear and healed him.

For the heart of this people has become fat; and with their ears they hear heavily; and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should turn to me, and I should give them health.

And he said: He that has ears to hear, let him hear. And when he was alone, those who were about him, with the twelve, asked him the meaning of the parable. And he said to them: To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are without, all things are done in parables;read more.
that they may surely see, and not perceive; and that they may surely hear, and not understand; lest they should turn to me, and their sins should be forgiven them.

He replied: To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that when they see, they may not see, and when they hear, they may not understand.

saying: Go to this people and say, You shall surely hear, but you will not understand; and you shall surely see, but you will not perceive. For the heart of this people has become fat, and with their ears they hear heavily, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should turn, and I should restore them to health.

and they will turn away their ears from the truth, and be turned to fables.

And the rest of men that were not killed by these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, that they might not worship demons, and idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood, which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk;
