Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus, of Bethany, the village of Mary and Martha her sister. It was the Mary that anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. But when Jesus heard it, he said: This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that by it the Son of God may be glorified. Now, Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When, therefore, he heard that he was sick, he still remained two days in the place where he was.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease, and every kind of sickness among the people.

The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them;

and saying: The time has fully come, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the gospel.
