so also ye, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to the sin, and living to God in Jesus Christ our Lord.
I call upon you, therefore, brethren, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a sacrifice -- living, sanctified, acceptable to God -- your intelligent service; and be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what is the will of God -- the good, and acceptable, and perfect.

Let not then the sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in its desires; neither present ye your members instruments of unrighteousness to the sin, but present yourselves to God as living out of the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to God;read more.
for sin over you shall not have lordship, for ye are not under law, but under grace.
teaching us, that denying the impiety and the worldly desires, soberly and righteously and piously we may live in the present age,
no more in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh;

And for me, let it not be -- to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which to me the world hath been crucified, and I to the world;
this knowing, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of the sin may be made useless, for our no longer serving the sin; for he who hath died hath been set free from the sin.
