Be sober, be watchful: for your adversary, the devil, like a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour. But may the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, confirm you.

Fear none of the things which you are about to suffer; behold, the devil will throw some of you into prison, that you may be tried: and you shall have affliction ten days. Be faithful till death, and I will give you the crown of life.

And he said to me: These are they who have come out of great affliction, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
