Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world."

Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be faithful in prayer.
I think that in view of the present distress it is good for a person to remain as he is.
I have great confidence in you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. With all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy.
For indeed when we were with you, we kept telling you in advance that we were going to suffer affliction; and so it came to pass, as you know.
