Then they asked him, "What must we do to perform the works of God?"

God has made us what we are, creating us in Christ Jesus for the good deeds which are prepared beforehand by God as our sphere of action.

Now, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts upon them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock.

Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and acts upon them, I will show you whom he is like.

It is not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord!', who will get into the Realm of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.

And everyone who listens to these words of mine and does not act upon them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand.

Well then, whatever you would like men to do to you, do just the same to them; that is the meaning of the Law and the prophets.

As you would like men to do to you, so do to them.
