So that we ourselves glory of you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and sufferings which ye endure:

in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By purity, by prudence, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,read more.
By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right-hand and the left: Through honour and dishonour, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, yet true, As unknown, yet well-known; as dying, yet behold we live; as chastened, yet not killed; As sorrowing, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

But call ye to mind the former days, in which, after ye were inlightened, ye endured so great a conflict of sufferings:

For consider him that endured such contradiction from sinners against himself, lest ye be weary and faint in your minds.

and hast borne for my name's sake, and hast not fainted.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience, And patience experience, and experience hope;

My brethren, count it all joy, when ye fall into divers temptations, Knowing that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have it's perfect work, that ye may be perfect and intire, wanting nothing.

Happy is the man that endureth temptation: for when he hath been proved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, continue instant in prayer.
