For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive according to what he hath done in the body, whether good or evil.
Know ye not, that they who run in the race, all run, but one receiveth the prize? so run that ye may obtain. And every one that contendeth, is temperate in all things: and they indeed, to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every one have praise from God.
A good man out of the good treasure bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say to you, That every idle word which men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, or by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
And now, beloved children, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
If any one's work shall be burnt, he shall suffer loss, but himself shall be saved, yet so as through the fire.
This is the seducer and the antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not the things we have wrought, but receive a full reward.
