For they intended evil against you: they devised a mischievous act, which they are not able to perform.
Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts.
He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.
How long will you imagine evil against a man? you shall be slain all of you: as a leaning wall shall you be, and as a tottering fence.
Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.

The schemes also of the schemer are evil: he devises wicked plans to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaks justly.
The lips of those that rose up against me, and their whispering against me all the day.
The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counselors of peace there is joy.
Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait: their baker sleeps all the night; in the morning it burns as a flaming fire.
Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they devise evil against me.
And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the sojourner, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, says the LORD.
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD, that take counsel, but not from me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and give wicked counsel in this city:
He shall enter peaceably even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the plunder, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.
And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall devise plans against him.
Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against you, saying,
