17 Bible Verses about Fathers Loving Care

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

As ye know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,

But God commendeth his love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

For I have no man like-minded, who will naturally care for your state.

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly to you.

Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee, and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth beneath, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren. A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken from the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her first-born son: and he called his name JESUS.

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
