"Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid; and in his joy he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls; and, having found one pearl of great price, departing, he has sold all that he had, and bought it.

Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven was likened to a king who wished to make a reckoning with his servants.

"The Kingdom of Heaven was likened to a man?? king??ho made a marriage feast for his son.

But He said to him, "A certain man was making a great supper, and invited many.

"For it is as when a man, going abroad, called his own servants, and delivered to them his goods:

He said, therefore, "A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

And He spake a parable to them, saying, "A certain rich man's field yielded bountifully;

And He said, "A certain man had two sons. And the younger said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of the estate that falls to me.' And he divided to them his living. And, not many days after, gathering all things together, the younger son went abroad into a far country, and there wasted his estate, living riotously.

And He said also to His disciples, "There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and the same was accused to him as squandering his goods.

Two men went up into the temple to pray; one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-collector.

Charge those who are rich in this present age, not to be high-minded, nor to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, Who giveth us richly all things for enjoyment;

Because you say, 'I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing'; and do not know that you are the wretched one, and pitiable, and poor, and blind, and naked!

Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, or what ye may drink; nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? Behold the fowls of the heaven, that they sow not, nor reap, nor gather into barns; and your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye much more valuable than they? And who of you, by being anxious, can add to his stature one cubit?read more.
And why are ye anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin; but I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these. And, if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith! Be not, therefore, anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink!' or 'What shall we put on?' For after all these things the nations are seeking; for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Be not, therefore, anxious for the morrow; for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its evil.

And He said to His disciples, "Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your soul, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on; for the soul is more than the food; and the body, than the clothing. "Consider the ravens, that they neither sow nor reap; which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them! Of how much more value are ye than the birds!read more.
"And who of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his stature? If, therefore, ye cannot do the least thing, why are ye anxious about the rest? And he said, 'This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there will I store all my grain and my goods.read more.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.' But God said to him, 'Senseless one! this night they require your soul of you; and the things you prepared, whose shall they be?' So is he who is laying up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through, and steal;

for nothing have we brought into the world, neither can we carry anything out;

and the rich, in his humiliation; because, as a flower of grass, he shall pass away. For the sun arose with scorching heat, and withered the grass, and its flower fell out, and the beauty of its appearance perished, so also will the rich man fade away in his goings.

And Jesus said to His disciples, "Verily I say to you, that with difficulty shall a rich man enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God." And the disciples, having heard it, were amazed exceedingly, saying, "Who, then, can be saved? "read more.
But Jesus, looking on them, said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

And, looking around, Jesus saith to His disciples, "With what difficulty shall those who have riches enter into the Kingdom of God!" And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus, again answering, saith to them, "Children, how difficult it is [for those who trust in riches] to enter into the Kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God."read more.
And they were being exceedingly astonished, saying to Him, "And who can be saved?" Jesus, looking upon them, saith, "With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God."

And Jesus, seeing him, said, "With what difficulty do those having riches enter into the Kingdom of God! for it is easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God." And those hearing it said, "And who can be saved?"read more.
But He said, "The things impossible with men are possible with God."

And he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that hears the word; and the anxiety of the age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

And others are those sown among the thorns. These are those who heard the word, and the anxieties of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires about other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

"And that which fell among the thorns, these are those who heard; and, going forth, they are choked with anxieties, and riches, and pleasures of life, and bear no fruit to perfection.

And, behold, one, having come near, said to Him, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" And He said to him, "Why do you question Me concerning the good? One is the Good. But, if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments." He says to Him, "Which?" And Jesus said, "You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness;read more.
honor your father and your mother; and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself." The young man says to Him, "I observed all these things; what yet do I lack?" Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me." But the young man, having heard this saying, went away grieved; for he was one who had large possessions.

And, as He was going forth into the way, one, running to Him, and kneeling, was asking Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do, that I may inherit eternal life?" And Jesus said to Him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good, but One??od. You know the commandments, 'Do not kill,' 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not steal,' Do not bear false witness,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and mother.'"read more.

And Jesus, looking on him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing is wanting to you: go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me." But, becoming gloomy at this saying, he went away grieved; for he was one having great possessions.

And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, "Good Teacher, by doing what shall I inherit eternal life?" And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good, but One??od. You know the commandments, 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not kill,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not bear false witness,' 'Honor your father and your mother.'"read more.
And he said, "All these I observed from my youth." And Jesus, hearing it said to him, "Yet one thing is lacking to you; sell all that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me." And, when he heard these things, he became very sorrowful; for he was exceedingly rich.

The hungry He filled with good things, and the rich He sent away empty.

Come now, ye rich, weep, howling over your miseries that are coming upon you! Your wealth has become corrupted, and your garments have become moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are covered with rust, and their rust will be for a witness against you, and will eat your flesh, as fire. Ye laid up treasures in the last days!read more.
Behold, the hire of the workmen who mowed down your fields, which is fraudulently kept back by you, is crying out; and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

But ye dishonored the poor man! Do not the rich oppress you, and do they not drag you before the judgment-seats?

Ye condemned, ye killed the righteous one; he does not resist you.

Ye lived luxuriously on the earth, and rioted in pleasure; ye nourished your hearts in a day of slaughter.

"Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day. And a certain poor man, Lazarus by name, had been laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs falling from the rich man's table; yea, even the dogs, coming, were licking his sores.read more.
And it came to pass that the poor man died, and that he was carried away by the angels into Abraham's bosom. And the rich man also died, and was buried; and in Hades, lifting up his eyes, being in torments, he sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And, crying, he said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; because I am in anguish in this flame!' But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that, in your lifetime, you received in full your good things, and Lazarus, likewise, evil things; but now here he is comforted, and you are in anguish. And, in all these things, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed; so that those wishing to cross from hence to you cannot; nor do they pass from thence to us.' And he said, 'I pray you, therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house; for I have five brothers; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.' But Abraham says, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' But he said, 'Nay, father Abraham; but, if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.' But he said to him, 'If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rose from the dead.'"

Do they not blaspheme the worthy name by which ye were called?

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through, and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where theives do not break through, nor steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

And seek ye not what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink; nor be troubled with anxiety; for after all these things are the nations of the world seeking; and your Father knoweth that ye need these things. But seek ye His Kingdom, and these things shall be added to you.

treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold on that which is really life.

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, free to impart, liberal;

Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me."

And Jesus, looking on him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing is wanting to you: go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me."

And Jesus, hearing it said to him, "Yet one thing is lacking to you; sell all that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me."

And he, answering, said to them, "Let him who has two coats share with him who has none; and let him who has food do likewise."

But give as alms the things within; and, behold, all things are clean to you.
