Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls.
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I, who present indeed am lowly among you, but am bold toward you when absent;
"Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy king cometh to thee, meek, and riding on an ass, and on a colt the foal of a beast of burden."
but made himself of no consideration, taking the form of a servant, and becoming like men;
And the passage of the scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so he openeth not his mouth.
He will not strive, nor cry aloud, nor will any one hear his voice in the streets.
And when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he made no answer. Then saith Pilate to him, Dost thou not hear what things they are testifying against thee? And he made him no answer, not even to one word; so that the governor greatly wondered.
For which is greater? he who reclineth at the table, or he who serveth? Is not he that reclineth at the table? But I am in the midst of you as he who serveth.
And Jesus said, Father, forgive them! for they know not what they do. And they divided his garments, casting lots.
Then he poureth water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

looking to the author and perfecter of the faith, Jesus, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered did not threaten, but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously;
The next day he seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!
