And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to he sorrowful and full of anguish. Then he saith to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me. And he came a little nearer, and fell on his face, praying and saying, Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me! nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.
For Christ did not seek his own pleasure, but, as it is written, "The reproaches of those who reproached thee fell on me."
