And, ye masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening; knowing that both they and you have a Master in heaven, and that there is no respect of persons with him.

knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the recompense of the inheritance; serve Christ as your Lord.
Bondservants, obey your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as serving Christ; not with eyeservice as menpleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as menpleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever ye do, do it from the heart, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the recompense of the inheritance; serve Christ as your Lord.
Exhort bondservants to be in subjection to their own masters, in all things to be wellpleasing to them, not contradicting, not purloining, but showing all good faith; that they may adorn the teaching of God our Saviour in all things.
Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor; especially they who labor in the word and in teaching. For the Scripture saith, "Thou shalt not muzzle the ox while he is treading out the grain"; and, "The laborer is worthy of his wages."
And abide in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
Who ever serveth as a soldier at his own charges? Who planteth a vineyard without eating its fruit? Or who tendeth a flock and doth not eat of the milk of the flock? Is it on mans authority that I am saying these things, or doth not the Law too say the same? For it is written in the law of Moses: "Thou shalt not muzzle an ox while treading out grain." Is it for oxen that God careth?read more.
Or doth he say it altogether on our account? On our account, no doubt, it was written, that he who plougheth ought to plough in hope, and that he who thrasheth should do it in the hope of partaking. If we have sown to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap from you things for the body?
Let him that is taught in the word share with the teacher in all good things.
knowing that whatever good each one shall have done, that shall he receive from the Lord, whether he be bondman or free.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth; that thine alms may be in secret; and thy Father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee.
His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! thou hast been faithful over a little, I will place thee in charge of much; enter into the joy of thy lord.
Already is the reaper receiving wages, and gathering fruit unto everlasting life; that both the sower and the reaper may rejoice together.
henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me at that day, and not to me only, but to all those who have loved his appearing.
For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is everlasting life, through Christ Jesus our Lord.
