Then God said: Let there be light! And there was light.

He placed the lights in the sky to shine on the earth.

The lights were to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. God saw that it was good.

God called the light day. He called the darkness night. There was evening and there was morning, one day.

Let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth. It was so.

Can his forces be numbered? Upon whom does his light not rise?
