For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
But if any provideth not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden, to dress it, and to keep it.

The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

Moreover, there are workmen with thee in great numbers, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of skillful men for every manner of work.
