but we have renounced the secret works of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God; but, by the manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Let every soul be subject to the higher authorities. For there is no authority but from God: the authorities that are, have been appointed by God. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and authorities, to obey rulers, to be ready for every good work,
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man, for the Lord's sake; whether it be to the king, as supreme ruler, or to governors, as those sent by him for the punishment of evil-doers, and for the praise of those who do well.
For this reason, God delivered them over to vile passions: for their females exchanged their natural use for that which is against nature: and in like manner also the males, leaving the natural use of the females, burned in their lusts one toward another, males with males practicing infamous lewdness, and receiving in them selves the due reward of their error.
