Or do you not know that he being joined to a harlot is one body? For He says, The two shall be one flesh.

So men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord loves the church.

The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband. And likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.

You shall not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is abomination to God.

"For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two of them shall be one flesh." This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
