For as the woman is of the man, even so the man is also through the woman; but all things of God.

For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God. But the woman is the glory of the man.

And the woman with whom a man shall lie with emission of semen shall both bathe in water and be unclean until the evening.

And if a man lures a virgin who is not promised, and lies with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.

The wife and the virgin are different. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they shall be one flesh.
