Then the priest of Jupiter, that was in front of the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have offered sacrifice with the multitudes.
And every priest indeed standeth performing daily service, and offering again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who by his everlasting spirit offered himself without spot to God, purify your conscience from dead works, for the worship of the living God!
And in this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, wellpleasing to God, which is your spiritual worship;
But works of kindness and liberality forget not; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
