And he said, To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? or under what comparison shall we set it forth? It is like a grain of mustard, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth; and when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air can lodge under its shade.
He said therefore, To what is the kingdom of God like? and to what shall I compare it? It is like a grain of mustard, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and became a tree, and the birds of the air lodged in its branches.
