So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.
"Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.
but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
To the woman he said, "I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you." What is man, that he can be pure? Or he who is born of a woman, that he can be righteous? Behold, Godputs no trust in his holy ones, and the heavens are not pure in his sight; how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks injustice like water!
You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you. In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you,O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him:
For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.
