And when the time of their purification according to the law of Moses was completed, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord"), and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, "a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons."

Then a leper came to him, imploring him, kneeling down to him and saying to him, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." And Jesus, moved with compassion, put out his hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be clean." And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.read more.
And he strictly warned him and sent him away at once, and he said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

And he stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be clean." And immediately the leprosy left him. And he charged him to tell no one, "But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing as a testimony to them, just as Moses commanded."

but that we should write to them to abstain from the pollutions of idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood.

But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, "Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath."

And the Pharisees said to him, "Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?"

But some of the Pharisees said, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?"

Circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law; but if you break the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

So Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding? Do you not yet see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.read more.
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornications, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."

So he said to them, "Are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, since it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and so passes on?" (Thus he declared all foods clean.) And he said, "What comes out of a man is what defiles a man.read more.
For from within, out of the heart of men, come evil thoughts, fornications, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a man."

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.

For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something outward and in the flesh. He is a Jew who is one inwardly; and real circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, and not by the written code. His praise is not from men but from God.

Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what counts.

But food will not commend us to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

These things are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

And he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;

For since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices which are continually offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered? If the worshipers had once been cleansed, they would no longer have any consciousness of sins. But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year after year.

since they relate only to food and drink and various washings regulations for the flesh imposed until the time of reformation.

But now, by dying to what once held us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.

For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but what counts is a new creation.

by abolishing in his flesh the hostility, which is the Law of commandments and ordinances, so that he might create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace,

When you were dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our sins, having canceled the certificate of debt, which stood against us with its decrees. He took what was hostile away from us, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them through him.read more.
Therefore let no one judge you in questions of food or drink or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.
