And it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go that God did not lead them through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt; but God led the people round about through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea. And the sons of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.

And it came to pass that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper coasts, came to Ephesus, and finding certain disciples,

And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country; we will not pass through the fields or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells; we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left until we have passed thy borders.

And the LORD discomfited them before Israel and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon and chased them along the way that goes up to Bethhoron and smote them to Azekah and unto Makkedah. And when they were fleeing from before Israel in the descent to Bethhoron, the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died; there were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the sons of Israel slew with the sword.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was; and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion

And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water; and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what hinders me to be baptized?

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us while he talked with us in the way and while he opened to us the scriptures?

and thou shalt repeat them diligently unto thy sons and shalt talk of them being in thy house and walking by the way, lying down in bed, and rising up;

And the slave said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the slave, Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in that my house may be filled.

The stranger did not lodge in the street, but I opened my doors to the traveller.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They already have their reward.

Behold, their ambassadors shall cry without: the messengers of peace shall weep bitterly. The highways shall be broken down; the travellers shall cease; he has broken the covenant; he has despised the cities; he does not regard man.

Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
