Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfill. Therefore when thou dost alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do, in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But when thou dost alms, let not thy left-hand know what thy right-hand doth: That thy alms may be in secret, and thy father who seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Luke 12:22-31

And he said to his disciples, Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life what ye shall eat, neither for the body what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body than raiment. Consider the ravens; for they neither sow nor reap; neither have store-house nor barn: yet God feedeth them. Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.

Matthew 7:3-5

And why beholdest thou the mote in thy brother's eye, but observest not the beam in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote from thine eye, and behold a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Luke 6:41-42

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thy own eye? Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, thou thyself not seeing the beam that is in thine own eye. Thou hypocrite, cast first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
