and a woman who has a husband that is not a believer, but he consents to live with her, must not divorce her husband. For the unbelieving husband is consecrated by union with his wife and the unbelieving wife by union with her Christian husband, for otherwise your children would be unblessed, but in this way they are consecrated. But if the unbelieving consort actually leaves, let the separation stand. In such cases the Christian husband or wife is not morally bound; God has called us to live in peace.

But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your soul is to be demanded of you. Then who will have all that you have prepared?' So it is with the man who continues to pile up possessions for himself, and is not rich in God."

And whether one puts into the building on the foundation gold or silver or costly stones, or wood or hay or straw, the character of each one's work will come to light, for the judgment day will show it up. For whoever wants to save his higher life will have to give up the lower life, and whoever gives up his lower life for my sake will find the higher life.
For whoever wants to save his higher life, will have to give up the lower life, and whoever gives up his lower life for me and for the good news, will save the higher life.
For whoever chooses to save his lower life will lose his higher life, but whoever gives up his lower life for my sake will save his higher life.
