it is the action of the mind that vivifies, that of the body profits nothing: the words that I have delivered to you, spiritually understood, give life.

In the last day, the most solemn day of the feast, Jesus being there, raised his voice, and said, if any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink. he that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. Jesus answered her, they that drink of this water, will be thirsty again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him, shall never thirst: for the water that I shall give him, shall be in him a fountain springing up to everlasting life.

Then he shewed me a pure river of living water, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the lamb. in the midst of the area, surrounded by the river, was the tree of life, which had twelve fruit-seasons, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
