In the last day, the most solemn day of the feast, Jesus being there, raised his voice, and said, if any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink. he that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. Then he shewed me a pure river of living water, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the lamb. in the midst of the area, surrounded by the river, was the tree of life, which had twelve fruit-seasons, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
