For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.
For they who are according to the flesh mind the things of flesh, but they who are according to the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness (which is idolatry),
And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and fathered a son in his own likeness, after his own image. And he called his name Seth.
Therefore, even as through one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed on all men inasmuch as all sinned:
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be. So then they who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from the womb, speaking lies.
For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?
But we are all as the unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as a menstruation cloth. And we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Or what man is there of you, if his son asks a loaf, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a snake? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?
For when the nations, who do not have the Law, do by nature the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law unto themselves; who show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing one another,
For that which I do, I know not. For what I desire, that I do not do; but what I hate, that I do.
But if I do what I do not desire, it is no more I working it out, but sin dwelling in me.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.
