11 Bible Verses about Unburied Bodies

This is what Jehovah says: Dead bodies will fall like manure on the field. They will be like grain that has been cut but not gathered.'

Your body will be food to all birds of the air, and to the beasts of the earth. And no man shall frighten them away.

They have given the dead bodies of your servants to the birds for food. They have given the flesh of your godly ones to the animals.

A man can have a hundred children and live many years. If he does not enjoy prosperity and have a decent burial, a stillborn child is better off then he.

However you are thrown out of your tomb like a rejected branch. You are covered with those who were killed in battle. You go down to the stones (bottom) of the pit like a trampled corpse.

The dead bodies of this people will be food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth. No one will frighten them away.

They will die of lethal diseases. They will not be mourned or buried. They will be as dung on the surface of the ground and die by sword and famine (war and starvation). Their carcasses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.

On that day those killed by Jehovah will stretch from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned, taken away, or buried. They will become like manure on the ground.'

I will hand them over to their enemies who want to kill them. Their corpses will be food for birds and wild animals.

Also do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness. Present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness for God.

Both great and small men will die in this land. They will not be buried, they will not be lamented, nor will anyone gash himself or shave his head for them.
