All right, Jehovah said to Satan, everything he has is in your power, but you must not hurt Job! So Satan left.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man. God is faithful and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your limits. He will make a way out, that you will be able to endure it.
Therefore rejoice (be glad), you heavens, and you that dwell in them. But woe to the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having fierce anger, because he knows that he has only a short time.

(Deuteronomy 8:3) Then the Devil took him into the holy city and had him stand on top of the Temple. If (since) you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. The Scriptures say: 'God will give orders to his angels about you and they will hold you with their hands, so that not even your feet will strike the ground.' Again it is written, Jesus replied, 'you must not put Jehovah your God to the test.' (Deuteronomy 6:16) This time the Devil took Jesus to an extremely high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world with all their greatness. I will give all this to you, the Devil told Jesus, if you kneel down and worship me. Go away, Satan! demanded Jesus. It is written, It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.' (Deuteronomy 6:13-15) Then the Devil left Jesus, and the angels came and served him.
Jesus was full of God's Holy Spirit when he returned from the Jordan. Holy Spirit led him into the wilderness. He spent forty days in the wilderness being tempted by the devil. Then the devil said: I will give all this authority and glory to you, for it has been turned over to me. I may give it to whomever I will. If you will worship me it will all be yours. (Deuteronomy 6:13-15; 10:12; 10:20) (Exodus 20:3-5) He led him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle (highest level) of the temple. Then he said to him: If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here. It is written, he shall give his angels charge concerning you to guard you. They will carry you with their hands so you do not dash your foot against a stone. Jesus replied: It is said you should not test Jehovah your God. (Deuteronomy 6:16) When the devil had completed every temptation he departed from him for a season.
Since he has suffered and was tested in every way; he is able to help those who are being tested.
We do not have a high priest who is not able to sympathize with our infirmities (weaknesses). He was tested in all things like ourselves. Yet he was without sin!
Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any way hurt you.
Also do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness. Present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness for God.
Be angry and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your anger (rage). Do not give the devil an opportunity.
Put on the full armor (every implement) of God, that you may be able to stand against the cunning (inventive) (clever) methods of the devil. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. For that reason, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, having done everything, to stand firm.
Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walks about, seeking whom he may devour (consume). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brothers in the world.
You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, avoid being carried away with the error of the wicked and falling from your own steadfastness.
I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

He disarmed the rulers and authorities! He made a public display of them triumphing over them.

These signs will accompany those who believe. They will cast out demons in my name. They will speak with new languages. They will pick up and handle serpents. Deadly drink will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
The seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name.

The man who endures under trial is blessed. For when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.
He who can hear should listen to what the Spirit says to the congregations! To him who overcomes I will give the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life that grows in the (Paradise) Garden of God.'
He who overcomes will be clothed in white garments. I will not blot out his name from the book of life. In fact I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
