16 Bible Verses about Unkindness

You must remove all bitterness, rage, anger, loud threats, and insults, with all malice. You must practice being kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has graciously forgiven you.

"You have heard that it was said, 'You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, practice loving your enemies and praying for your persecutors,

But I say to you who listen now to me, practice loving your enemies, practice doing good to those who hate you, continue to bless those who curse you, and continue to pray for those who abuse you.

Keep on blessing your persecutors; keep on blessing and stop cursing them.

But if anyone has the world's means of supporting life and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how can love to God remain in him?

Then the Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Does not everyone of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey and lead him out of the stable to water him?

Then He said to them, "Which of you, if his son or ox falls into a well, will not at once pull him out on the Sabbath?"

Be ungrudgingly hospitable to one another.

"Then He will say to those at His left, 'Be gone from me, you who are now cursed, to the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For when I was hungry you gave me nothing to eat, when I was thirsty you gave me nothing to drink, when I was a stranger you did not welcome me to your homes, when I needed clothes you did not put them on me, when I was sick and in prison, you did not look after me.'

so He sent messengers before Him. Then they went on and entered into a Samaritan town, to make preparations for Him. But they would not receive Him, because He was facing in the direction of Jerusalem.

Do not remain neglectful of hospitality to strangers, for by it some have entertained angels without knowing it.

If some brother or sister is thinly clad and has no food for the day, and one of you says to him, "Blessings on you, keep warm, eat until you have aplenty," without giving him the things that are needed for the body, what good does it do?

though He did not fail to furnish evidences about Himself, in constantly showing His kindness to you, in sending you rain from heaven and fruit-producing seasons, in giving you food and happiness to your heart's content."

Do you think so little of the riches of God's kindness, forbearance, and patience, not conscious that His kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

So take a look at the goodness and the severity of God; severity to those who have fallen, but goodness to you, on condition that you continue to live by His goodness; otherwise, you too will be pruned away.
