One preferreth some days to others; another esteemeth every day alike. Let every one be fully satisfied in his own mind. He that regardeth a day regardeth it to the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, in deference to the Lord he doth not regard it. So he, that eateth all sorts of food, eateth to the Lord; for he giveth God thanks for it; and he that eateth not of some kinds of food, in deference to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks for the rest.

and so the weak brother, for whom Christ died, shall perish by thy knowledge? But in thus sinning against your brethren, and wounding their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ: wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will never eat flesh while I breathe, least I make my brother to offend.

These things teach and exhort. If any one teach otherwise, and adhere not to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but is delirious about questions and strifes of words: from which cometh envy, contention, calumnies, wicked suspicions, perverse debates of men corrupted in mind, and void of truth, accounting gain to be godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
For the time will come, when they will not bear sound doctrine; but having itching ears, will heap up to themselves teachers after their own hearts: and turn away their attention from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
