Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous or boastful, it is not arrogant

So, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

But I, brethren, could not address you as spiritual men, but as carnal men, as infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food; for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, even now you are not ready, for you are still carnal. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not carnal, and are you not walking like mere men?

Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; be infants in evil, but in thinking be mature.

for every one who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their sense trained by practice to distinguish good from evil.

Brethren, even if anyone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.

As for the man who is weak in faith, accept him, but not for disputes over opinions. One believes he may eat anything, but the man whose faith is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not, and let not him who does not eat pass judgment on him who eats; for God has accepted him.

But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. For if a man sees you, who have knowledge, at table in an idol's temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be encouraged to eat food sacrificed to idols? And so by your knowledge this weak man is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died.read more.
Thus, sinning against your brethren and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food causes my brother to fall, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause my brother to fall.

But, as it is written, "No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived what God has prepared for those who love him," God has revealed them to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit which is in him? training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sober, upright, and godly lives in this present age,

I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on the things above, not on things that are on earth.

If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. Now by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He who says, "I know him," but does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.read more.
But whoever keeps his word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in him: he who says he abides in him ought to walk as he walked.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

"You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. You are doing just as your fathers did.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Do not quench the Spirit;

Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

In those days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.

and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

for you know how, as a father with his own children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to live a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

And not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

And after he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king; concerning whom he testified and said, 'I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.'

And the statement pleased the whole congregation; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch.
