Let death come hastily upon them, and let them go down quick into hell; for wickedness is among them in their dwellings.
Dearly beloved, be not troubled in this heat, which now is come among you to try you, as though some strange thing had happened unto you:
Why wilt thou make thyself a coward, and as it were a giant that yet may not help? For thou art ours, O LORD, and we bear thy name; therefore forsake us not."
And he answered him to never a word: insomuch that the deputy marveled greatly.
Let a sudden destruction come upon him unawares, and his net that he hath laid privily catch himself, that he may fall into his own mischief.

Make not thy boast of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what may happen today.
When Peter saw that, he answered unto the people, "Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or why look ye so steadfastly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man go?
"Behold I come as a thief. Happy is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments; Lest he be found naked, and men see his filthiness."
For man knoweth not his time, but like as the fish are taken with the angle and as the birds are caught with the snare: Even so are men taken in the perilous time, when it cometh suddenly upon them.
And they knew him, that it was he which sat and begged at the Beautiful gate of the temple. And they wondered, and were sore astonished at that which had happened unto him.
