'Around' in the Bible

The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.

The name of the second river is Gihon; it flows around the whole land of Cush.

As they journeyed, there was a great terror upon the cities which were around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn around and attack the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed that day eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

David then arose and came to the place where Saul had camped. And David saw the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the commander of his army; and Saul was lying in the circle of the camp, and the people were camped around him.

So David and Abishai came to the people by night, and behold, Saul lay sleeping inside the circle of the camp with his spear stuck in the ground at his head; and Abner and the people were lying around him.

So David lived in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built all around from the Millo and inward.

When David inquired of the Lord, He said, “You shall not go directly up; circle around behind them and come at them in front of the balsam trees.

Now when evening came David arose from his bed and walked around on the roof of the king’s house, and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful in appearance.
