'Hate' in the Bible
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor' and 'Hate your enemy.'
"No one is able to serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You are not able to serve God and money.
And then many will be led into sin and will betray one another and will hate one another,
salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all those who hate us,
Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and revile [you] and spurn your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.
"But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and furthermore, even his own life, {he cannot be} my disciple.

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I am testifying about it, that its deeds are evil.
For what I am doing I do not understand, because what I want [to do], this I do not practice, but what I hate, this I do.
But you do have this: that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, [things] which I also hate.
