'Heard' in the Bible
Depart from me, all you who do evil,For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
The Lord has heard my supplication [my plea for grace];The Lord receives my prayer.
O Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble and oppressed;You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear to hear,
In my distress [when I seemed surrounded] I called upon the LordAnd cried to my God for help;He heard my voice from His temple,And my cry for help came before Him, into His very ears.
As soon as they hear me, they respond and obey me;Foreigners feign obedience to me.
There is no speech, nor are there [spoken] words [from the stars];Their voice is not heard.
For He has not despised nor detested the suffering of the afflicted;Nor has He hidden His face from him;But when he cried to Him for help, He listened.
That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgivingAnd declare all Your wonders.
Blessed be the Lord,Because He has heard the voice of my supplication.
For I have heard the slander and whispering of many,Terror is on every side;While they schemed together against me,They plotted to take away my life.
As for me, I said in my alarm,“I am cut off from Your eyes.”Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications (specific requests)When I cried to You [for help].
I sought the Lord [on the authority of His word], and He answered me,And delivered me from all my fears.
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard himAnd saved him from all his troubles.
I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord;And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
We have heard with our ears, O God,Our fathers have told usThe work You did in their days,In the days of old.
As we have heard, so have we seenIn the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God:God will establish her forever. Selah.
For You have heard my vows, O God;You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name [with reverence].
God has spoken once,Twice I have heard this:That power belongs to God.
Bless our God, O peoples,And make the sound of His praise be heard abroad,
But certainly God has heard [me];He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
You caused judgment to be heard from heaven;The earth feared and was quiet
Which we have heard and known,And our fathers have told us.
Therefore, when the Lord heard, He was full of wrath;A fire was kindled against Jacob,And His anger mounted up against Israel,
When God heard this, He was filled with [righteous] wrath;And utterly rejected Israel, [greatly hating her ways],
Zion heard this and was glad,And the daughters (cities) of Judah rejoiced [in relief]Because of Your judgments, O Lord.
Nevertheless He looked [sympathetically] at their distressWhen He heard their cry;
I love the Lord, because He hears [and continues to hear]My voice and my supplications (my pleas, my cries, my specific needs).
I will give thanks to You, for You have heard and answered me;And You have become my salvation [my Rescuer, my Savior].
All the kings of the land will give thanks and praise You, O Lord,When they have heard of the promises of Your mouth [which were fulfilled].
