And the land could not {support them} [so as] to live together, because their possessions were [so] many that they were not able to live together.

For their possessions were {too many to live together}, so that the land of their sojourning was not able to support them on account of their livestock.

" 'And if your countryman becomes poor and {if he becomes dependent on you}, then you shall support him [like] an alien and [like] a temporary resident, and he shall live with you.
