'Acted' in the Bible

We have acted corruptly toward You and have not kept the commands, statutes, and ordinances You gave Your servant Moses.

You sent signs and wonders against Pharaoh, against all of his officials, and against all the people of his land, because you knew they acted arrogantly against your people. So you established your name with them, as it remains to this day.

But our ancestors acted arrogantly;they became stiff-necked and did not listen to Your commands.

You warned them to turn back to Your law,but they acted arrogantlyand would not obey Your commands.They sinned against Your ordinances,which a person will live by if he does them.They stubbornly resisted,stiffened their necks, and would not obey.

You are righteous concerning all that has come on us,because You have acted faithfully,while we have acted wickedly.

Isn't this the way your ancestors acted, causing our God to bring on them and on this city all this misfortune? And now you are causing even more wrath on Israel, profaning the Sabbath like this!"
