The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, and the god [the object of worship] of their father [Terah, an idolator], judge between us. But Jacob swore [only] by [the one true God] the Dread and Fear of his father Isaac.

"And you will make a pure gold rosette, and you will engrave on it with seal engravings: "A holy object for Yahweh."

And [for] thirty-three days she shall stay in the blood of [her] cleansing; she must not touch any holy [object], and she may not come to the sanctuary until the fulfilling of the days of her cleansing.

and [if] the infection is yellowish green or reddish on the garment or on the leather or on the woven material or on the fabric or on any leather object, it [is] an infectious skin disease and it shall be shown [to] the priest.

And he shall burn the garment or the woven material or the fabric, {whether wool or linen}, or any leather object that {has} the infection, because it [is] an infectious skin disease, [which is] destructive--it must be burned in the fire.

"But if the priest examines [it] and {if} the infection has not spread on the garment or on the woven material or on the fabric or on any leather object,

And if it appears again on the garment or on the woven material or on the fabric or on any leather object, it [is] spreading; you must burn in the fire that which [has] the infection in it.

And the garment or the woven material or the fabric or any leather object that he might wash and the infection is removed from them then shall be washed second [time], and it shall be clean."

This [is] the regulation of the infectious skin disease in the wool garment or the linen or the woven material or the fabric or any leather object to declare it clean or to declare it unclean.

Every bed on which he lies down with the discharge is to be considered unclean, and every object on which he sits becomes unclean.

Whoever sits on any object on which the one with the discharge has sat is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening.

But a clay vessel that the person who discharges touches must be broken, and any {wood object} must be rinsed with water.

And whoever toucheth any object that she sat upon shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even.

Any bed or other object on which she sat that he touches will make him unclean until evening.

Every bed on which she sleeps the whole time she has the discharge will be her own unclean bed, so that every object on which she sits becomes unclean like her menstrual uncleanness.

" 'And if [it is] a domestic animal from which they present an offering for Yahweh, all that he gives from it for Yahweh shall be a holy object.

He shall not replace it, nor shall he exchange it, [either] good with bad or bad with good; and if he indeed exchanges a domestic animal with a domestic animal, then {it and its substitution shall be a holy object}.

" 'And if a man consecrates his house [as] a holy object for Yahweh, then the priest shall set a value on it, {either good or bad}; [just] as the priest sets a value on it, so it shall remain.

and the field shall be a holy object for Yahweh when it goes out in the Jubilee, like a devoted field; {it shall be the priest's property}.

then the priest shall calculate for him the {amount} of your proper value until the year of the Jubilee, and he shall give your proper value on that day [as] a holy object for Yahweh.

" 'And any tithe of the land from the land's seed [or] from the fruit of the trees [is] for Yahweh; it [is] a holy object for Yahweh.

As for every tithe of cattle or of the flock, all which crosses under the rod, the tenth shall be a holy object for Yahweh.

He shall not inspect between [the] good and [the] bad, and he shall not exchange it; but if he indeed exchanges it, then {it and its substitution shall be} a holy object--it shall not be redeemed.'"

at this point the priest must make the woman take the oath with the sworn curse, and he is to say to her- 'May the Lord make you into an object of your people's cursing and swearing when He makes your thigh shrivel and your belly swell.

The priest will wave them [as] a wave offering {before the presence of} Yahweh; they are a holy object to the priest, in addition to the breast section of the wave offering, and in addition to the upper thigh of the contribution; and afterward the Nazirite may drink wine.

You will eat it in the most holy place; every male will eat it. It will be a holy object to you.

Now as for you, everything has been turned over for destruction. Don't covet or take any of these things. Otherwise, you'll make the camp of Israel itself an object worthy of destruction, and bring trouble on it.

I will cut off Israel from the land I gave them, and I will reject the temple I have sanctified for My name. Israel will become an object of scorn and ridicule among all the peoples.

then I will uproot Israel from the soil that I gave them, and this temple that I have sanctified for My name I will banish from My presence; I will make it an object of scorn and ridicule among all the peoples.

Therefore, the wrath of the Lord was on Judah and Jerusalem, and He made them an object of terror, horror, and hissing, as you see with your own eyes.

Don't be like your fathers and your brothers who were unfaithful to the Lord God of their ancestors so that He made them an object of horror as you yourselves see.

So now ye are nothing; ye see a terrible object and are afraid.

For whenever I prophesy, I must cry out, "Violence and destruction are coming!" This message from the Lord has made me an object of continual insults and derision.

I'm now sending for all the tribes from the north, declares the LORD, and for my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. [These included:] Jerusalem and the [other] cities of Judah, its kings and its officials, to make them a desolate ruin, an object of scorn and cursing-as it is today;

I will make this temple like Shiloh. I will make this city an object of cursing for all the nations of the earth."

I will pursue them with sword, famine, and plague. I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth-a curse and a desolation, an object of scorn and a disgrace among all the nations where I will have banished them.

"For this is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: 'Just as My anger and fury were poured out on Jerusalem's residents, so will My fury pour out on you if you go to Egypt. You will become an object of execration, scorn, cursing, and disgrace, and you will never see this place again.'

You are provoking Me to anger by the work of your hands. You are burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have gone to live for a while. As a result, you will be cut off and become an object of cursing and insult among all the nations of earth.

And I will take away the remnant of Judah, those who have resolved to go to the land of Egypt to live there for a while; they will meet their end. All of them in the land of Egypt will fall by the sword; they will meet their end by famine. From the least to the greatest, they will die by the sword and by famine. Then they will become an object of execration, of scorn, of cursing, and of disgrace.

The Lord can no longer bear your evil deeds and the detestable acts you have committed, so your land has become a waste, a desolation, and an object of cursing, without inhabitant, as [you see] today.

"Make him drunk for he has exalted himself against the LORD. Moab will wallow in his vomit, and he will be the object of mocking.

Wasn't Israel an object of mocking for you? Wasn't he treated like a thief, so that whenever you spoke about him you shook your head in contempt?

"How it will be shattered! How they'll wail! How Moab will turn his back in shame! Moab will be an object of ridicule and terror to all those around him."

Indeed, I've sworn by myself," declares the LORD, "that Bozrah will become an object of horror and scorn, a waste, and an object of ridicule. All her towns will become perpetual ruins."

Your [object of] horror (your idol) has deceived you, and the pride of your heart [has deceived you], O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock [Sela or Petra], who hold and occupy the height of the hill. Though you make your nest as high as the eagle's, I will bring you down from there, says the Lord.

"Edom will become an object of horror. Everyone who passes by her will be horrified and will scoff because of all her wounds.

For a nation from the north will go up against her. It will make her land into an object of horror, and no one will live in it. Both people and animals will wander off, and they'll leave.

"How the hammer of the whole earth Has been cut off and broken! How Babylon has become An object of horror among the nations!

Babylon will become a heap of rubble, a jackals' den, a desolation and an object of scorn, without inhabitant.

"How Sheshak will be captured, and the prince of all the earth seized! How Babylon will become an object of horror among the nations!
