'Blessed' in the Bible
“The poor in spirit are blessed,for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
Those who mourn are blessed,for they will be comforted.
The gentle are blessed,for they will inherit the earth.
Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed,for they will be filled.
The peacemakers are blessed,for they will be called sons of God.
Those who are persecuted for righteousness are blessed,for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
“You are blessed when they insult and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me.
And if anyone is not offended because of Me, he is blessed.”
“But your eyes are blessed because they do see, and your ears because they do hear!
Then He commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
And Jesus responded, “Simon son of Jonah, you are blessed because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father in heaven.
Then the crowds who went ahead of Him and those who followed kept shouting:Hosanna to the Son of David!He who comes in the nameof the Lord is the blessed One!Hosanna in the highest heaven!
For I tell you, you will never see Me again until you say, ‘He who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One’!”
Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
As they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take and eat it; this is My body.”
