'Dice' in the Bible
They are dividing up my clothes among themselves; they are rolling dice for my garments.
The dice is cast into someone's lap, but the outcome is from the LORD.
Casting dice settles a dispute, deciding between strong contenders.
After they had crucified him, they determined who would get his clothes by throwing dice for them.
Then they crucified him. They divided his clothes among themselves by throwing dice to see what each one would get.
Jesus kept saying, "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they're doing." Then they divided his clothes among them by throwing dice.
So they told each other, "Let's not tear it. Instead, let's throw dice to see who gets it." This was to fulfill the Scripture that says, "They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they threw dice." So that is what the soldiers did.
