'Forsaken' in the Bible
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Listen carefully: your house is being left to you desolate [completely abandoned by God and destitute of His protection]!
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
"In solemn truth I tell you," replied Jesus, "that there is no one who has forsaken house or brothers or sisters, or mother or father, or children or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the Good News,

Look, your house is forsaken! And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, 'Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!'"
For Thou wilt not leave me in the Unseen World forsaken, nor give up Thy holy One to undergo decay.
