'Hated' in the Bible

And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then will I slay my brother Jacob.

And Jehovah saw that Leah was hated, and he opened her womb. But Rachel was barren.

And she conceived again, and bare a son: and said, Because Jehovah hath heard that I am hated, he hath therefore given me this'son also. And she called his name Simeon.

And his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren; and they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
