I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband.
that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
The LORD will fulfill that which concerns me; your loving kindness, LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the works of your own hands.
being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.

He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire."
saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.
I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the One who sent me.
Then I said, 'Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.'"
But he said to them, "I must proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent."
And he said to them, "Let us go somewhere else into the next towns, that I may proclaim there also, because I came out for this reason."
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
The Spirit of the LORD is on me; because he has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and an opening of the eyes to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
Jesus went out from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon. And just then a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and started shouting, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David. My daughter is severely demonized." But he did not answer her a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, "Send her away; for she cries after us."read more.
But he answered, "I was not sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel." But she came and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, help me." But he answered, "It is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." But she said, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith. Be it done to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that hour.
From there he arose, and went away into the region of Tyre and Sidon. He entered into a house, and did not want anyone to know it, but he could not escape notice. For a woman, whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, immediately came and fell down at his feet. Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. She begged him that he would cast the demon out of her daughter.read more.
But he said to her, "Let the children be filled first, for it is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." But she answered him, "Yes, Sir. Yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." He said to her, "For this saying, go your way. The demon has gone out of your daughter." And when she went away to her house, she found the child lying on the bed, the demon having left.
I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
Even so it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting."
I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.
And he said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Look, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.
Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I am thirsty."
Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.
For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, do not cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
More than that, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christ
This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

And one of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together. Seeing that he had answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the greatest of all?" Jesus answered, "The first is, 'Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one: you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'read more.
The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
And just then a certain Law scholar stood up and tested him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How do you read it?" He answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself."read more.
He said to him, "You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live."
"This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
But now faith, hope, and love remain?these three. The greatest of these is love.
but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith;
Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another."
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Be perfected, be comforted, be of the same mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;

Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened; not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.
then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it is not yet revealed what we will be. We know that, when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is.
In my Father's house are many dwelling places. If it weren't so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
This is the will of him who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day.
