'Inheritance' in the Bible

I brought you to a fertile landto eat its fruit and bounty,but after you entered, you defiled My land;you made My inheritance detestable.

In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

I thought: How I long to make you My sonsand give you a desirable land,the most beautiful inheritance of all the nations.I thought: You will call Me, my Father,and never turn away from Me.

The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

I have abandoned My house;I have deserted My inheritance.I have given the love of My lifeinto the hands of her enemies.

My inheritance has acted toward Melike a lion in the forest.She has roared against Me.Therefore, I hate her.

Is My inheritance like a hyena to Me?Are birds of prey circling her?Go, gather all the wild animals;bring them to devour her.

Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.

After I have uprooted them, I will once again have compassion on them and return each one to his inheritance and to his land.

And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.

You will, on your own, relinquish your inheritancethat I gave you.I will make you serve your enemiesin a land you do not know,for you have set My anger on fire;it will burn forever.

So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

Because you rejoice,because you sing in triumph—you who plundered My inheritance—because you frolic like a young cow treading grainand neigh like stallions,
