'Less' in the Bible
The wealthy may not give more and the poor may not give less than half a shekel when giving the contribution to the Lord to atone for your lives.
Of the cities that you give from the Israelites’ territory, you should take more from a larger tribe and less from a smaller one. Each tribe is to give some of its cities to the Levites in proportion to the inheritance it receives.”

After all that has happened to us because of our evil deeds and terrible guilt—though You, our God, have punished us less than our sins deserve and have allowed us to survive—
how much less one who is revolting and corrupt,who drinks injustice like water?
how much less man, who is a maggot,and the son of man, who is a worm!
how much less when you complainthat you do not see Him,that your case is before Himand you are waiting for Him.
You made him little less than Godand crowned him with glory and honor.
Men are only a vapor;exalted men, an illusion.Weighed in the scales, they go up;together they are less than a vapor.
Luxury is not appropriate for a fool—how much less for a slave to rule over princes!
Even when it was whole it could not be made into a useful object. How much less can it ever be made into anything useful when the fire has devoured it and it is charred!
And those parts of the body that we think to be less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unpresentable parts have a better presentation.
But our presentable parts have no need of clothing. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable,
I will most gladly spend and be spent for you. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?
For this reason, I am very eager to send him so that you may rejoice when you see him again and I may be less anxious.
Make sure that you do not reject the One who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected Him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.
