'Lips' in the Bible

These people honor Me with their lips,but their heart is far from Me.

He answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written:These people honor Me with their lips,but their heart is far from Me.

Their throat is an open grave;they deceive with their tongues.Vipers’ venom is under their lips.

It is written in the law:I will speak to these peopleby people of other languagesand by the lips of foreigners,and even then, they will not listen to Me,says the Lord.

Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name.

For the one who wants to love lifeand to see good daysmust keep his tongue from eviland his lips from speaking deceit,
