'Suffer' in the Bible

Therefore the Lord will afflict the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion with scabs [making them bald],And the Lord will expose their foreheads (send them into captivity).”

Everyone will suffer -- the priest as well as the people, the master as well as the servant, the elegant lady as well as the female attendant, the seller as well as the buyer, the borrower as well as the lender, the creditor as well as the debtor.

Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live on it suffer the punishment of their guilt. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned [under the curse of God’s wrath], and few people are left.
