Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.
He that is slow to wrath is of great intelligence, but he that is short of spirit exalts folly.
The discretion of a man defers his anger, and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.
He Cease from anger and forsake wrath: let not thy wrath in any wise cause you to become evil.

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand firm against the wiles of the devil.

For if ye love those who love you, what reward shall ye have? Do not even the publicans the same? And if ye embrace your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect.
